The Improp reviews "The League"

The show premiered on FX last Thursday after "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia", and I loved it. It had everything I wanted to see in a TV show: good plot, witty banter, sex, sports, drugs, drinking, dick and fart jokes, scantily-clad women, nagging girlfriends, fathers who never grew up obsessing over fantasy football while hating their real lives. I mean, what more can you ask for? But then I again, I'm probably the target demographic for the show. Regardless, "The League" was a huge hit.

The main characters are down-right hysterical. It's a great mix of guys who will resemble the friends of your entourage. Not to mention, the dialogue flows effortlessly. The immature, inappropriate jokes remind me of about 90% of my conversations with people. Plus, the writers did a good job of incorporating actual fantasy football jargon and information; which creates a connection with the fraternity of fantasy football athletes everywhere.

Don't worry ladies, there's even some parts that you'll find funny. "The League" is about four married, 30-something husbands and their escape from their boring lives...and yes, their wives. The relationship interaction is spot-on yet outrageous; culminating in Pete's wife anally probing him during sex!

It's not too late to catch up on all the action, the second episode airs tonight at 10:30 p.m on FX. I give this show my stamp of approval. "The League" is the perfect show for all males ages 16-? Yeah. It's that good. If you don't think "The League" is as good as I say it is...you probably lost your balls years ago or they haven't dropped yet or you're a girl...okay well the point is you wouldn't be a real man. So just watch it. Got it?
