The Hottest Guess This Wife Ever...

Can you guess who stole third base with this dime piece?

Update: Bowden wants to talk to "his" team first

According to the man himself Bobby Bowden still hasn’t made a decision about his future at Florida State. The 80 year old coach says he wants “to meet with (his) team first.” The meeting is scheduled for 2:15 this afternoon, and an announcement about Bowden’s decision is expected later on in the day….More to come when news is made available.

Iverson going back back to Philly Philly?

According to ESPN.com sources close to situation believe that Allen Iverson might find himself back in a Philadelphia 76ers uniform as soon as Monday night. Before stints with Denver, Detroit, and Memphis Iverson played his first ten plus seasons for Sixers. Iverson’s potential return game would be home against Denver. The Former #1 overall pick met face to face with club officials in Dallas for nearly two hours on Monday, and it appears it is more likely than not he will be playing for the Sixers again.
This might not be the ideal situation for Iverson, but it’s most likely the best. Iverson wants to be on a contender, and he wants to play serious minutes for that contender, but that won’t happen. Iverson wants to have ones cake and eat it too. Problem is, there’s a reason why contenders are contenders…they don’t have a hole at the starting point guard position. If Iverson wants to be on a contender and play a good amount of minutes he needs to switch to shooting guard. Either way he would be facing diminished minutes, but a switch to the 2 guard might give him a few more a night. The Sixers are 5-13, but only sit 2 ½ games out of the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference. If I were Iverson I would go to Sixers, he really has nothing to lose. AI will score his points, and if the teams starts to win more games, and sneaks into the playoffs he will transform his me first image greatly. Tutoring the young Louis Williams will also go a long way in changing the perception of Iverson….AI, I implore you, I beg you…Go back to Philly, back to where it all started.

Once Again Ireland Wants In The 2010 World Cup...

...And once again they have been denied. In November Ireland and France tied in second leg of winner goes to the World Cup two match series. A stoppage time goal by France's Theirry Henry tied the game and allowed France to win the series on aggregate. The problem is Henry's game tying goal was littered with violations that were missed and went uncalled by game referees. To keep the ball in play Henry committed a handball, and then passed the ball to a France striker who was offsides. After the match Ireland attempted to file a formal protest with FIFA, Soccer's international governing board. The protest was quickly denied, and Ireland's World Cup dream seemed more like a pipe dream...Until yesterday when ESPN.com learned that Ireland had asked FIFA to include them in the World Cup as a 33rd team. What was shocking was that it was believed FIFA was apparently "seriously considering this option." Well they were, until this morning when FIFA told Ireland that it would be "impossible" for them to be included as a 33rd team.

After a lot of soul searching I have to say I sadly agree with this decision. There is no excuse for how poorly the refs managed the end of this game...But as FIFA says it would be truly "impossible" for them to be included as a 33rd team. Any ruling handed down from FIFA that allowed Ireland into the World Cup would have set a horrible precedent. If FIFA had granted Ireland's initial protest, and disallowed Henry's goal it would have sent the message that any game result could be changed after the game...That would have triggered a domino effect that the game might never be able to recover from. Any team that felt they were slighted by a ref's call during game play would feel entitled to a protest. In the end the refs were wrong... Ireland should be in the World Cup right now, and in a perfect world they would be. Problem is we don't live in a perfect world, and no one can expect to be perfect all the time...that includes soccer referees. What can be learned from this is that some form of instant replay should be included in any and every sport played worldwide.

Northeastern Buzzer Beater

For all you Boston fans waking up today still crying over your Pats embarrassing loss last night. Here's a look at Northeastern hitting a half court shot at the buzzer to beat Wright State Saturday night. My only question, what were you doing even letting Wright State play with you? This game should have been a blowout. Good luck this year in the CAA cause its not looking too good when you cant even beat BU and get taken to the buzzer by Wright State. Still a pretty impressive shot and loved seeing the mascot get knocked down trying to join the celebration. That's a real nice Hockey arena you play in as well I must say. Funds must be getting pretty tight at Northeastern, no wonder they just got rid of your football program.

Roundhouse Anyone?

Here's my video of the day. Apparently this is a hidden camera show in some foreign country. The guy from the show is running up on people and doing something stupid I don't know, but when he goes to run away from the person he messes with he takes an unexpected, unbelievable roundhouse to the face. One minute your on a TV show having a great old time, next minute your knocked out cold on the ground. Watch the slow motion shot in like the last 20 seconds of the video to really appreciate the kick.

Who Dat Be Dat? DREW BREEEEEEEES

Someone please call the police, there was a brutal rape that took place tonight at, 1500 Podyras Street New Orleans, LA 70112. Yes Pats fans we do our homework here at the Improp that's the address of the Superdome, and there is nothing more sweet for me than to be able to report on how badly your beloved Pats got murdered tonight. You couldn't have even made it a game for us viewers? I know what your going to say... "they" lost the game, as in the Patriots lost the game, but whenever they win, your the quickest fans to start running your damn mouths on how, "WE" won the game! Like your the ones calling goddamn plays or something.

Drew Brees picked apart the New England secondary every opportunity he got. He became only the second quarterback in NFL history to throw for 5 TD's 350+ yards and have a completion percentage greater than 75%. He mixed in 1 of those touchdown throws to Hofstra great Marques Colston who had a game high 121 yards receiving. Brees also became only the 4th QB to throw for 4 touchdowns against a team coached by Bill Belichick. The other 2 being the Manning brothers, Peyton twice.

It was an all around dominating performance by the Saints on both sides of the ball. The Pats had no answer for anything the Saints ran offensively and couldnt get into a rhythm themselves on offense. So much for all the hype coming into this game, the only entertaining part was watching the air show put on by Brees and his receivers. This brings the Pats down to earth a little bit, at 7-4 and only 1-4 away from Foxboro this season, they are lucky the play in the AFC east.

I will commend my partner Wesley on his prediction, you nailed the Saints score right on the head with 38. It's just too bad the Pats scored a little less than your predicted 41. 24 less to be exact. How sweet it is!
