Iverson going back back to Philly Philly?

According to ESPN.com sources close to situation believe that Allen Iverson might find himself back in a Philadelphia 76ers uniform as soon as Monday night. Before stints with Denver, Detroit, and Memphis Iverson played his first ten plus seasons for Sixers. Iverson’s potential return game would be home against Denver. The Former #1 overall pick met face to face with club officials in Dallas for nearly two hours on Monday, and it appears it is more likely than not he will be playing for the Sixers again.
This might not be the ideal situation for Iverson, but it’s most likely the best. Iverson wants to be on a contender, and he wants to play serious minutes for that contender, but that won’t happen. Iverson wants to have ones cake and eat it too. Problem is, there’s a reason why contenders are contenders…they don’t have a hole at the starting point guard position. If Iverson wants to be on a contender and play a good amount of minutes he needs to switch to shooting guard. Either way he would be facing diminished minutes, but a switch to the 2 guard might give him a few more a night. The Sixers are 5-13, but only sit 2 ½ games out of the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference. If I were Iverson I would go to Sixers, he really has nothing to lose. AI will score his points, and if the teams starts to win more games, and sneaks into the playoffs he will transform his me first image greatly. Tutoring the young Louis Williams will also go a long way in changing the perception of Iverson….AI, I implore you, I beg you…Go back to Philly, back to where it all started.
