It's on like Donkey Kong

Floyd Mayweather Jr. reportedly has agreed to terms and given the green light on fighting Welterweight Champion Manny Pacquiao. Dreams really do come true for boxing fans and us average guys that still like seeing a good fight every now and then. This is just what boxing needs to get back in the spotlight. MMA has been killing boxing over the past couple decades. If Mayweather stays true to his word, this could be one of the most anticipated fights for boxing since the Tyson heydays.

As of right now, there are 2 dates being considered for the fight, March 13th and May 1st. The sooner the better in my eyes, but right now most signs are pointing to the May 1st date.

There hasn't been a venue set at this time either however there are a few different options being thrown around. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he would be interested in having the fight take place in the new Cowboys Stadium. The Superdome in New Orleans is also an option along with the fight capital of the world, Las Vegas. The fight is going to be fought at 147 pounds. It is crazy to think, when Pacquiao started his professional boxing career he fought at 106 pounds.

Let's pray Money Mayweather follows through on his word and this fight goes down both for the people and also the sport of boxing itself.

Guess This Wife...ANSWER!

Yes. Scott Podsednik gets to round the bases with this absolute knockout. If he's anything in bed like he is on the basepath, Ms. Lisa Dergan must be very unsatisfied. A woman as gorgeous as her needs to be relished. You have to take it slow and enjoy every inch of her. HA! We're always getting a little risque at the Improp. Holla at me babygirl!

Pedey open to switch to short

"They've asked me if I think I could play shortstop. They've put it out there and I've told them I'm all for it. I can do it. I can't wait for [Terry Francona] to call me and ask, 'Can you do it?' I can do it. I really want to do it." - heart and soul of the red sox, second baseman soon to be short stop, MVP winner, Dustin Pedroia.

Wow all the quotes from him are just orgasmic to hear. I'm half-mast right now. I swears it! Here look for yourself, Pedroia sounds so comfortable with Peter Gammons that I wouldn't be surprised if Peter cradled him in his arms. Talk about some Pedey-on-Petey action!

But on a serious note, I love this guy's attitude. It's everything we need in a leader. It's everything we look for in a hero. It's what Boston hasn't seen in a while; an unselfish player who breathes, sweats, and bleeds his team. And on some real shit, it's quite refreshing. Between him and Kevin Youkilis, the Sox have a solid core of cornerstone players. Those two are just flat-out gritty, grimey Dirtdogs. And it gives me the chills just thinking about it.

If the Sox do decide to switch Pedroia to shortstop I have little doubt that he will do anything but excel. He has played shortstop at stretches throughout college and the minors. He was an All-American shortstop at ASU. The guy is more reliable than a Toyota. He's got a motor that never slows down and a drive that exceeds his competition's. Pedroia even called out the best in the business, Jeter. "Tell Derek [Jeter] to enjoy the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger awards while he can." Easy Yankee fans, it was only a joke. You can continue eating your bagels.

With the Pedroia moving to short, it might be easier to fill the void at second base. Cincinnati 2B Brandon Phillips' name has been tossed around, but there are still other viable options for the Sox in the free agent pool. Orlando Hudson, Placido Polanco, Juan Uribe, and Mark DeRosa are the class of the second basemen on the open market. With the only enticing player at shortstop is Miguel Tejada.

Can't say enough about the guy's attitude towards the game. They just don't make 'em like used to. But Dustin Pedroia is one of the last few good ones left.

Mark Sanchez is getting the sign to steal third...

Rex Ryan said he wanted to take a more hands on approach with Mark Sanchez's development...Apparently that includes welcoming New York Yankees Manager Joe Girardi to come in to teach Sanchez how to slide.

Ryan called Yankees president Randy Levine to ask him to send someone down to help Sanchez. Ryan felt as if Sanchez didn't know how to slide, and he was taking some unnecessary physical contact, and Levine sent Girardi.

How great is this...Three words...MADE FOR TV...This needs to be a Mayne Event ASAP.

This Just In: Bowden Makes Decision, Will Retire After Bowl Game

The legend is going out on his terms...Bobby Bowden, one of the greatest college football coaches of all time will retire after Florida States bowl game. The Seminoles' bowl is still undetermined...They are 6-6, which makes them bowl eligible, and with all the bowls out there I see no way that FSU could get shutout of being in one considering this will be Bowden's last game.

Bowden said through a statement released by the school "We’ve got one more game and I look forward to enjoying these next few weeks as the head football coach."

Although the bowl game FSU plays in will have little prestige I hope the players realize the magnitude of this game. You had the honor to play for the great Bobby Bowden...Remember you have to preface it THE GREAT Bobby Bowden. These kids better play their hearts out and give it their all on every single G*D DAMN PLAY!!!

Some of Bowdens career highlights...

388-97-4 Career record...Including 309-91-4 at Florida State

2 national championships...1993 and 1999

12 ACC championships

14 straight seasons of at least 10 wins and a top 5 finish in the polls.

2 Heisman Trophy Winners....1993 Charlie Ward, QB...2000 Chris Weinke, QB

Who does USC think they are?

Can someone please tell me who USC thinks they are acting like this? Your already up 21-7 with 44 seconds left, the game is in the bag. I don't so much mind the deep pass to make it 28-7, but the celebration after, completely unnecessary. Your jumping around like you just won the Rose Bowl or something. Which, may I remind you, you aren't even playing in this year, and your not even playing for a Pac-10 championship on Saturday. Yea okay I understand this is a cross town rivalry and it's a big game for you guys but really? It's UCLA, your expected to win this game. Can someone please remind these morons that the week before this game they were absolutely embarrassed by Stanford by 34 points? A few weeks before that you got your asses handed to you by Oregon. And the worst part of your pathetic underachieving season, you lost to Washington. They didn't even win a single game last season and they are only 4-7 this year. I hope you feel really good about yourselves acting like a bunch of thugs jumping up and down on the sideline like you won something. You might be playing for the Meineke Car Car Bowl championship if your lucky enough to get such a good game.

DP...DP...DP

According to Chris Botta of islanderspointblank.com Islanders franchise goalie Rick Dipietro is expected to play in his first "conditioning" game Saturday night for the Islanders AHL affiliate Bridgeport Sound Tigers. According to Botta the plan is to have DP play only part of the game.

Don't get me wrong Dwayne Roloson is playing out of his mind right now...The things is hes old, and old legs fall off to easily towards the end of the season. DP hasn't just been a headache for the Islanders fans the past few seasons, he has been a never ending migraine, but a healthily DP(which many believe he finally is) can go along way towards improving the Islanders playoff hopes. Right now Roli is the Islanders #1 netminder, with Marty Biron spelling him. If and when DP comes back, and can play on a regular basis it will allow the Islanders to trade Biron to a team in need of a solid veteran goaltender. What the Islanders could get in return would be epic...they are looking for a veteran forward who can do it all and solidify the young offense of the Islanders. If all goes to plan signs point to Islanders perhaps sneaking into the playoffs this year after being the worst team in the NHL last year.
