This Just In: Bowden Makes Decision, Will Retire After Bowl Game

The legend is going out on his terms...Bobby Bowden, one of the greatest college football coaches of all time will retire after Florida States bowl game. The Seminoles' bowl is still undetermined...They are 6-6, which makes them bowl eligible, and with all the bowls out there I see no way that FSU could get shutout of being in one considering this will be Bowden's last game.

Bowden said through a statement released by the school "We’ve got one more game and I look forward to enjoying these next few weeks as the head football coach."

Although the bowl game FSU plays in will have little prestige I hope the players realize the magnitude of this game. You had the honor to play for the great Bobby Bowden...Remember you have to preface it THE GREAT Bobby Bowden. These kids better play their hearts out and give it their all on every single G*D DAMN PLAY!!!

Some of Bowdens career highlights...

388-97-4 Career record...Including 309-91-4 at Florida State

2 national championships...1993 and 1999

12 ACC championships

14 straight seasons of at least 10 wins and a top 5 finish in the polls.

2 Heisman Trophy Winners....1993 Charlie Ward, QB...2000 Chris Weinke, QB
