Lincecum still gifted even if he's lifted; wins 2nd straight Cy Young

Giants pitcher and giant stoner, Tim Lincecum won his second consecutive National League Cy Young award this afternoon. With only 15 wins on the season, he won the award for his nickname: The Freak. At 5-11 and 170 pounds, Lincecum has the frame of calf but the stuff of a Clydesdale. His fastball beat up radar guns all season long, hitting 97 mph on the regular. But hitters can't set-up for the fastball, because he'll break their knees with his devastating curve.

The combination of power and precision, that's why he's the Freak!

Despite his 15-7 record[the fewest ever by a NL Cy Young winner in a non-shortened season], Lincecum went 6+ innings in 28 of his 32 starts in 2009 accounting for a of 225.1 innings pitched. He also recorded 28 starts of giving up three runs or less amounting to a 2.48 ERA. He led the league in strikeouts (261), complete games (4), shutouts (2).

All this while sleeping with Mary Jane on the side! Timmy you sly dog, you! On October 30th, Lincecum was stopped and cited for having 3.3 grams of pot and bowl in his center console. It's bad enough for MLB hitters to strikeout against someone who looks like their kid, but to hear that he's probably high while doing it? HYSTERICAL!

I don't see any problem with Lincecum, or any other player for that matter, getting a little dazed and confused before they take the field. If anything they should get twice as many statistics if they're going to be smoking pot. And to the people who say, "I pay hundreds of dollars to watch him pitch at his peak performance. Not while he's high on drugs,": take it easy. It's their lives and if they want to smoke some harmless dope before a game then go ahead. And if it just so happens to lead to back-to-back Cy Youngs? I'd say the team should be his supplier.

Stoned or not, Tim Lincecum can flat-out pitch. Shout-out to Adam Wainwright and Chris Carpenter rounding out the top three in one of the closest finishes in Cy Young history. Ten points separated three guys. Gotta tip your cap to that. And feast your eyes on this!
