Seems Plaxico Burress won't be getting that time out of jail with his family he was hoping for. In a story we brought you a few weeks ago, Burress requested to get work release from jail. He would have been allowed to leave and spend time at home with his family while working.
Unfortunately, Plaxico's request was denied earlier this week. The former Giants receiver who began serving his 2 year sentence back in September for gun possession will remain permanently behind bars. Burress could appeal the decision but if he doesn’t decide to do so, he can reapply for work release in July.
Personally I feel he should be granted with his request come July. Even if its only for a few days a week, let the guy see him family. I'm not sure if his wife had their new baby yet but I know she was pregnant when he went in. You think the guy hasn't learned his lesson already for all of this. Yes, it was an idiotic thing to do everyone on the planet including him knows that but cut the guy some slack. Best of luck Plax you got my support.
