Shannahan Signs 5 Year deal with Skins

It has been reported that former Broncos Head Coach Mike Shanahan has agreed to a deal to become the new Head Coach of the Washington Redskins. It has been agreed in principle between the two parties for a 5-year deal worth approximately 7 million a year as reported by the Denver Post. The official announcement is supposed to be made Wednesday morning.

In my opinion it is a good hire for the Skins. Zorn was kind of a pussy, good football mind but no balls. Shanahan will bring some much need winning experience to the table. Only problem, your team still sucks! You took the first step and got a coach but that isn’t going to solve the problem that you have a terrible roster. You need a quarterback to start, Jason Campbell isn’t going to take you anywhere. He was the man at Auburn, but he’s not going to cut it as an above average NFL QB. Besides that there are holes throughout the entire roster and they need to keep players healthy. They aren’t going to be good anytime soon and an experienced coach isn’t going to change that. They have been through god knows how many coaches the past decade, maybe just stick with this one for a while and see what happens.

Hey, at least this guy still has faith.
