Big Mac Comeback???

Mark McGwire as a player-coach??? According to Cardinals manager Tony La Russa its a possibility. In a interview with the Contra Costa Times La Russa said that "if we are in contention well put him on the roster August 31st...Its a nice little dream."

While La Russa did admit "its not likely" that McGwire will get a pinch hit, he did say "I don't think its a zero possibility...The point is, you'll see him in spring training. He won't be leaning on the batting cage chatting it up. He'll work his [butt] off, and hitters will be thrilled he's there helping them."

I wouldn't mind seeing Big Mac get up there a give it a few hacks.Give him an at bat, why not??? La Russa is the longest tenured MLB manager, but that's never stopped him from thinking outside the box. No doubt Big Mac took performance enhancing drugs, but my question is...Whose fault is it if the drugs aren't illegal at the time...the players, or a man named Allan "Bud" Selig?
