Big Unit calls is quits

I'd just like to take a moment to look back at the career of Randy Johnson. His 22 season career is a sure first ballot hall of fame career. He ends with 303 wins and a career 3.29 ERA. He threw one of only 18 perfect games in Major League Baseball history and certainly gave us many more tremendous performances to remember him by. Yankee fans like myself grew up hating the Big Unit, simply because he dominated them. With the Mariners from 89-98 he compiled 125 of those 303 wins.

Yankee fans will remember the Unit for his 2 year stint with the bombers where he had 17 wins in both the 05 and 06 season. He finished out his career with the Giants where he recorded his 300th career victory on June 4th 2009 becoming only the 24th pitcher to accomplish the feat.

His accomplishments could take up an entire page so I’ll keep it short.

- 5x Cy Young winner
- 10x All-Star
- World Series Champion in 01 and Co-MVP
- 2nd all time in K’s with 4,875
- Best of all, 3rd all time in Wild Pitches

Great career and Future Hall Of Famer. Thanks for the memories Big Unit.
