Kimbo makes official UFC debut tonight

Kimbo slice the internet fighting sensation will make his UFC fight debut tonight against Houston Alexander. The fight will be televised on SPIKE at 9pm as one of the 9 under card fights to the Ultimate Fighter 10 season finale bout.

The only thing I don't understand, Kimbo Slice was one of the competitors on this seasons Ultimate Fighter 10 show. He lost the first fight he was involved in at the beginning of the season. Isn't the whole point of this show to bring in amateur fighters and give a contract to the winner? How is Kimbo fighting tonight when he didn't even win the show. It just goes to show, if there's money to be made, its going to be made. I'm not really complaining I'll take any opportunity I can get to watch Kimbo beat the shit out of someone but doesn't it kind of defeat the whole purpose of your show.

It probably is a good idea by the UFC cause I don't think too many people were going to be tuning in to see Brendan Schaub take on Roy Nelson. Throw Kimbo Slice into the mix and your going to at least double your ratings.

Why wouldn't they just have given Kimbo a contract in the first place? You know that people are going to pay to watch him fight don't contradict your show and give him a contract anyway when he doesn't even come close to winning.

I mean I'll be sure to tune on tonight and watch Kimbo hopefully beat the shit out of some nobody and then head to the bar without catching the main event.
