Umaga the newest of the Young WWE stars to be tapped out too early

Source: The Sun

The former WWE intercontinental champion was killed by a heart attack, his family have confirmed.

The Wrestling Observer reported that the Samoan-American star, real name Edward Fatu, fell asleep while watching television in his Houston home on Thursday night.

He was found several hours later by his wife, not breathing and with blood coming out of his nose. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital.

There he was put on life support and his family told to come to Texas as quickly as possible.

Tributes have poured in from around the wrestling world for the man who headlined WrestleMania 23 in 2007 - the biggest selling PPV event in the history of the sport.

Here's the latest name to be added to the countless Professional Wrestlers that have left us too early in life. He had been fired in June for failing a drug test provided by the WWE. I'm uncertain of what drugs he was using but I know there was mention of both steroids and pain killers. What is going on with all these guys? This comes too soon after the wrestling world lost former superstar Test back in March at only 33 years old. Is it the pressure and the demand that wrestling companies like the WWE, TNA, and ECW are placing on their athletes? These guys are constantly on the road and hardly ever get a break. They are always putting their bodies through torture, no shit there going to take roids and get hooked on pain killers. Roids help them recover faster, get stronger, and the pills just make them feel nothing. It is something that seriously needs to be adressed by the WWE and other wrestling companies alike. There should be no reason why you are losing numerous athletes a year at such young ages. Get some more strick and more regular drug testing policies implimented and take some responsibility. Everytime someone dies you just send out a statement saying how sorry you are to the family. How about you do something about it before you lose another superstar and take another crushing blow to your sport. Im not a wrestling follower by any means but I don't care what the sport is, enough is enough. RIP to The Samoan Bulldozer.
